What's with all the Barack and Nancy flapdoodle about impeachment being "off the table?"
Last time I checked (Civics, 8th grade) -- wait for it -- The House of Representatives has the power to impeach the President and Vice-President.
Nobody else!
What the Senate thinks about impeachment is quite immaterial. Their opinions on impeachment are meaningless.
Once the President is impeached, however, the Senate tries him/her for the crimes listed in the impeachment proceedings.
(Is everyone missing this distinction?)
