What Ann Coulter desires

It's always been clear to me at least, that the bile and hate emitted from her is coded and intended to inflame the most base and violent in society. She's a general in the partisan war. Her orders are to kill. The language used is that of pure venom with the purpose of inflaming some loose mindless believer to kill the enemy. And that enemy is you and me. That's why I would approve of silencing her for the same reason as someone being silenced who would scream fire in a crowded place. She's not alone. Rush, Savage, Hannity, Beck, etc. are all calling for the same, only somewhat toned down.

In part, I understand this desire. When Falwell died, I laughed and smiled and was delighted. I wish he'd have died at birth. And there are many others who I'd delight at their expiration. Bush or Cheney dying would be almost orgasmic. I'm not here to say that others follow these feelings, because they are base and violent. But that's how I feel.

I do think there is an element of her that is in it for the money - some of her flamboyance seems more motivated by the dollar than by ideology. But, and this is a big butt, part of her believes every hateful thing she says. She would like to live in an America where being liberal was at best a jail sentence.

Hate-absorbed people do not act rationally; and chaos is the rethuglican party's only friend these days. While Coulter makes hateful remarks, I do not believe they are actually delivered with hate as a propellant. She is a truly venomous creature, and should be dismissed as the trashmouth she is, rather than encouraged with threats and nourished by our hatred.
