Anderson Cooper's going to Keep Them Honest
:puke:

Anderson Cooper cries over Katrina and now he thinks he is the Honest Keeper.

I repeat: :puke:

(Tonight Anderson Cooper is going to keep Michael Moore honest. :eyes: Of course he doesn't have Michael Moore on to be "honest" to his face. :puke: )

9. Yep, he's a Vanderbilt
and always will be. No matter how much he rubs elbows with "the little people".

2. Larry King asked Anderson what was coming up on his
show with Michael Moore sitting right there. He said that their in house doctor was going to review the facts in the film, and Michael didn't seem worried.

3. I shut it off. It sounded like they had a filthy little hit piece planned.
Please tell me I read it wrong. CNN has moved so far to the right, that I could easily mistake it for FOX.

4. He donated to the Bush campaign in '04. I'm sure everyone here already knows this.
He's lost any hope of ever having a shred of credibility, at least in my eyes, for that.

Gotta do the corporation's bidding. Asshole.

I didn't know Cooper donated to the psycho! The man is Gay! What the hell is he doing donating to the anti-Gay repuke party? Damn idiot.

to why there are so many closeted REPUKES.

I remember a long list was compiled before the 04 election and none of the names on it, his included, surprised me.

36. well
it turns out he didn't.

I wish people would be a little more careful about the lies they tell here.

Yesterday somebody swore Oprah endorsed George W. Bush. Twice. Entirely untrue.

bona fide Sucker and non visionary. How'd he like how his boy did with the Katrina victims? Shabby? Ya think?

31. Sorry, guys. I was going off of memory. He didn't contribute to the Bush campaign.
He contributed $250 to a Republican candidate in New York. I was incorrect.

15. Actually...
he is.

Cooper's father is from New Orleans and Cooper "wintered" there while growing up.

That's the real reason he lost it in the aftermath of Katrina.

It drives me crazy!!! The other night he kept talking about "Bridden". Can't someone at CNN have a little chat with him about speaking his native tongue appropriately?!!

10. He did two pieces on Moore. One "keeping him honest"
:insert smiley screaming and pulling hair out of head:

and the other a snide recap of his career.

If I hear that phrase "keeping them honest" one more time, I'm going to join the hypothetical smiley above.

I was set to watch after Larry King, but they spent so much time on the "almost" car bomb in London, that they lost my interest. I hope I'm not alone?

19. I don't think Anderson is the popstar they were hoping for.
I usually don't watch him or any cable news, but we turned him on after the debate because there was no other analysis anywhere. That's when I discovered what a vapid faux populist he has become.

11. I keep thinkin' about
sending him/them a sarcastic email to say "thank you so much for waiting 'til now to keep them honest--I woulda been really upset if you'd tried to keep the republicans honest"

But then I realize that it would be a waste of time and nobody would read it. It would only let them know that I watch sometimes, and I don't want to give them that satisfaction.

THEM honest. I rarely turn on CNN. And every time I do, I am instantly reminded of why I hate CNN.

24. That's what I said to my husband tonight! The damn repukes were in power for the last 6 years and
NOW, all of a sudden, they care about keeping them honest? NOW they care whether the 911 report recommendations are implemented? NOW they care about what Congress is doing? Pisses me off to no end. I detest the corporate owned media....KO is the ONLY honest journalist on the air.

32. What, he has nothing more to say about Paris Hilton?
He spent his whole show the other night demonizing her and pointing out how stupid it was that we're so obsessed with her. I'm not defening Paris - I'm just saying that the irony was completely lost on Cooper!

34. I saw a segment of "keeping them honest"
Where they complained about congress keeping their retirement while in prison. They only mentioned democrats who were convicted (and Jefferson).

Too bad they weren't keeping the republicans honest.

37. So because he's rich he doesn't know anything?
Or doesn't care? And because Michael Moore is a liberal activist EVERYWORD that comes out of his mouth is the gospel truth?
Umm, I thought we didn't like stereotypes on DU. I have no idea what he is going after Michael Moore about and probably won't watch but I don't automatically throw out everything someone says or does because of class. Nor do I believe just cause somebody is a liberal that everything they say is true and correct.
I am very liberal, no matter what some might think, but I get tired of the hypocrisy of not questioning someone just because they happen to be a democrat. Nor do I automatically demonize someone because they are a republican ( or rich).
