Anyone else feel like we're walking on a treadmill?
Every day, it seems like there are always these groundbreaking stories about subpoenas, indictments, the new Democratic congress, people favoring impeachment, among other things...

But, even with all that... why does it seem like nothing has truly changed?

Why does it feel like we are no closer to a better day in America?

I'm feeling a little beat down.

9. I do understand the metaphor, just not the context
- is it like we are afraid to upset the party in charge?

3. That's exactly how I feel many a day.
Or like dreams I have where I'm trying to run, but my legs are heavy and it feels as if I'm trying to run in water.

11. I've often wondered that myself.
I've not yet been "caught" by whoever or whatever is pursuing me, but it scares the hell out of me that I can't go very fast to get away from whatever it is. :scared:

13. I was attempting droll irony there. The blogosphere being the echo chamber. I truly believe
that, in some small measure, our hue and cry effect those few decision-makers who still believe in democracy.

14. we're in the slackwater time right now
where you just have to keep swimming with no help getting to shore. Since all experience is so compressed now it seems like a lot of time passes without 'results.' We are so conditioned to instant gratification.

NOW you are beginning to understand the nature of the resistance--ie. the degree of resistance to the changes we want to see. Guess what--this is going to be HARD. MORE is required.

Keep swimming. :grouphug:
