Bush's Only Legacy - a Right Wing Court? |
|
Everything else he has done has ended in absolute failure.
His immigration bill is dead.
No Child Left Behind is under serious fire.
The tax cuts are coming up for renewal and looks like they don't have the support to renew them.
The Iraq fiasco.
The whole Middle East fiasco.
Absolutely everything he has tried to do is falling apart - thank God.
But we may be stuck with a right-wing court for a long time to come.

6. I was thinking about that exact question last night |
|
I pictured Bush on Larry King Live in 2009 and Larry asking, "What accomplishment are you most proud of?"
Since he can't answer, "I made all my friends and donors extremely rich", how would he answer? "Uhhhhhhh, uhhhhhhmmmmmm, duhhhhhhhhh.. I'll get back to you Larry, heh heh."

8. Well, by Legacy you mean things he has done |
|
Then Iraq is certainly his "legacy" all 600,000+ dead Iraqi and US. A destroyed country.
Also his legacy includes the destruction of parts of 2 major US cities, NY and NO.
And about 12 trillion in debt
And a compromised Constitution.
And Vote Fraud.
And US funded religous groups.
And a National Guard with inadequate equipment
And an Army almost incapable of fighting a major war anymore.
Frankly, I can't think of much of a positive Legacy he has left us, but he sure left us with a bunch of negative ones.

9. A Supreme Court that dismantles the Constitution is also a failure |
|
They are ALL Bush's legacy.
Not one to be proud of, mind you.
The next president has his or her work cut out for them. There will be a lot of damage control that needs to be done. Politically, the damage control the USA requires is almost as much as that of Germany in May, 1945. The good news is, I think we can handle it.
Halliburton's move to Dubai tells us where Cheneybush thinks their future is. Uncle Dick STILL has his house on the Iranian resort Island of Kish right across the Gulf from Dubai. If they flee there before indictment, let 'em, as long as the arrest warrants remain valid.
Those of us that intend to hang around have other concerns.

13. thank him for the right wing court, remember, during the election, he said the court didn't matter |
|
there was no difference between Gore and Bush, even in their appointments to the court, if the court did away with Roe v Wade (which is starting to look like the LEAST of our worries) the states could just pick up the slack.
(I don't know how to do "smilies". If I did, I'd do the scarcasm one.)
