BBC: Glasgow car accident "not being treated as a national security threat."
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/6257194.stm

"A Whitehall spokesman said the incident was not being treated as a national security threat....

"Eye-witness Richard Grey told BBC News 24: "A green Jeep was in the middle of the doorway burning.

"There was an Asian guy who was pulled out of the car by two police officers, who he was trying to fight off. They've got him on the ground.

"The car didn't actually explode. There were a few pops and bangs which presumably was the petrol."

Stephen Clarkson said he saw people running towards him and "panicking" then noticed a crashed Cherokee jeep..."

2. Same here. But they don't usually crash through the doors at the airport.

5. The article seems to have changed
"Prime Minister Gordon Brown has chaired a meeting of Cobra - the emergency committee.

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said the national terrorism threat level had been raised to its highest level of "critical", meaning an attack was expected "imminently"."

I guess someone got the terror agenda and acted accordingly.

6. Stop playing politics by trying to minimize this shit
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6257606.stm

Keep up with the news.

Why are some people on this site always attempting to minimize really important shit?

I'll say it again, just because the repukes are fucking assholes doesn't mean that radical Islam isn't out to kill us.

9. I Suppose We Are Just Terrored Out
At least now I know why they are trying to "kill" us. I actually think they have a pretty good case now.

11. That's immaterial
they have plenty of good reasons to want to kill us. Everyone knows that. But regardless of the validity of some of their complaints, I, for one, want their plans to be foiled.

12. Not Sure I Actually Care Anymore.
Until we wake up and save ourselves from ourselves I don't see much hope anyway.

14. Don't make me laugh
You're more likely to be hit by lightening than be hurt by "radical Islam."

How about a little rationality- perhaps some actual risk assessment as opposed to loaded language.

15. This stuff is overblown
The right acts like terrorism is the most important thing in the world. The American fear pushers promote outrage at comments meant to reassure America that we aren't all going to die. Its like the country is a cult, and denying the danger of terrorism is a threat to the cult itself. Fact is,we'd save more lives if we did something about the health care system, and dealt with terrorism with measures which are proportionate to the true danger.

At most, terrorists can commit mass murder, but they don't have anything like the means to kill us all. What terrorist can do, and seek to do, is frighten entire populations. If we don't let terrorists frighten us,we win. I feel its more patriotic to downplay terrorism than to fear it .

16. While this does appear to be an actual attempt at an attack
the facts are that the two incidents are at best hapless. Certainly this does not mean that these aren't some diversion intended to distract us from the main event, but I suspect these are rather inept homegrown brits playing at being terrorists and not Al Kader and his Big Band of Jihadi Thugs. These clowns are better than the Big Liquid Plane Bomb Terra, and better than our own Sears Tower Long March From Miami Terra or our Two Jihadis Take On Fort Dix With Semi Automatic Rifles Terra, or our Big Brooklyn Bridge Cable Cutters Plot Terra, but pardon us if we do not take this all too serious, as it isn't. These clowns do not know how to make a bomb. You get back to me when they have figured this out, 'kay?
