Whoops! Our Top Diplomat makes India mad.
India has reacted sharply to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s statement advising it to “move past old ways of thinking” as the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) had lost its meaning.

“We don’t believe that the movement has lost its relevance. It has acquired contemporary relevance in fostering cooperation among developing nations, particularly known as South-South cooperation,” External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said in Jalpaiguri in West Bengal.

“India is a founding member of the NAM, and believes that the movement has contributed substantially to the struggle against colonialism and apartheid policies in the post-Second World War period. There is no apparent contradiction in expanding cooperation and democracy of the world and the NAM,” he said, adding that India was equally interested in developing and widening cooperation with the U.S.

“There can be no question of India’s firm and abiding commitment to non-alignment. India remains committed to its ideals,” said the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson when asked to react to Ms. Rice’s observations at the 32nd anniversary celebrations of the U.S.-India Joint Business Council meeting in Washington on Thursday.

3. Can't wait til Nancy Brinker gets on the job
Condi will have another neo-con harridan at the State Dept. to hang out with.

"(Brinker) helped to preserve tax benefits and lower tariffs on U.S. companies doing business in Hungary. Brinker negotiated the hosting and training of the Free Iraqi Forces, an expatriate group who later joined coalition forces in Operation Iraqi Freedom, making Hungary the first European country to contribute to regime change in Iraq. Her groundbreaking efforts to advance the cause of women’s health in Hungary included a symposium and ceremonial walk across the country’s oldest bridge (lit pink for the occasion) to raise breast cancer awareness."

4. Not smart to make India mad at us. With the control they have
over everything in this country, from our banking to our credit cards, India could make each and every one of us homeless in about 30 seconds. I really, really hope they have Bush and Condi's personal information.

7. Quite frankly, there are probably many people in "former" colonies
who kind of wish they still were.. Once the colonizers left and granted "independence" they left behind a LOT of infrastructure that has never been faithfully maintained since...and even a shitty subservient job , working for the colonizer beats NO job, and begging in the streets.

Many "former" colonies end up with a series of pilfering, corrupt "leaders" who do nothing for the people..

the fact that so many formerly colonized people try their darndest to resettle in the homeland of their former occupiers speaks volumes..

11. Live free or die. We, the former colonized, sort of adhere to that notion as well.
The probably are "many" people who wish to remain subjects of the empire. They're the ones who we call "tools" because they need daddy to tell them what to do.
