13. Don't think we had the same security-rating system then |
|
I haven't noticed anyone being in much of a panic, however.

We were really, obviously, rattled by 9/11. But Americans are success-oriented. Any terrorist strike on us that kills less than 9/11 is going to look like a penny ante failure. It's hard to be frightened of boogeymen whose best days are clearly behind them.
If we hadn't been mentally defective enough to invade Iraq, al qaida might have perished of its own success.
That's why our media keeps trying to tell us these silly inept attempts at individual immolation would have been huge and horrific mass attacks. They know we just aren't impressed by palpable inefficiency and lack of imagination. Same as with George.

but a false terror, terror, terror to frighten the masses so they forget about his falling poll numbers.
Serious terrorists would do more than set a Jeep on fire. I am calm and plan on staying that way.

9. So, here's the question - if people turned off their TeeVees, would the so called powers |
|
that be have such an easy time pushing fear at people? I just get the feeling that if more people would put on music instead of hate radio, or watch a movie or take a walk in the woods instead of watching the ignorance box, we'd be in a better situation in this country. just sayin'.

16. Well in the UK they don't really have hate radio, |
|
that's unique to the U.S.. And they didn't postpone the final episode of Doctor Who series 3 from being televised, because Gordon Brown wouldn't have survived the lynch mob. ;-)
