Disaster: Bush Says He’ll Continue Meddling in Middle East After His Presidency

Disaster: Bush Says He’ll Continue Meddling in Middle East After His Presidency
Posted by Jon Ponder | Feb. 4, 2007, 2:33 pm

George Bush has informed his inner circle that after he leaves office he plans to invite leaders from Middle East to his think tank, which will be part of his $500 million library, where he will give them guidance on the finer points of democratic governance:

Indeed, senior officials close to Bush say that Bush’s plan after he leaves the White House is to continue to promote the spread of democracy in the Middle East by inviting world leaders to his own policy institute, to be built alongside his presidential library. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16960414/site/newsweek/library.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16960414/site/newsweek/

Too bad no one in his inner circle has the cajones to point out that continuing the sort of promotion he’s doing now would cause more harm than good. His approach — bombing Iraq back to the Stone Age and then installing a weak-as-treacle democracy among the ruins — is the biggest foreign policy disaster in our history.

9. You DO know what a "tank" is on a (real) Texas ranch? Right?
Edited on Sun Feb-04-07 10:12 PM by DemoTex
It is a water-filled pond for the cattle. Tanks are often very well stocked with fish.

Sit. Fish. Think. That is Bu$h's "think-tank."

"Uh... Thanks a lot, George; but I don't think I can come to visit your, uh, think tank. I have to, um... wash my hair. That's it. Gotta wash my hair. Sorry."

I especially think Angela Merkel won't be there to get groped again.

13. He's sure in for a rude awakening once he's out of office.
He really doesn't "get" that his handlers and his people only tell him what he wants to hear and only surround him with crowds that make him feel like a winner. No one will molly coddle him anymore and he will stand there with a dopey look on his face when he is ignored by the rest of the world.
