The Clinton-Did-It Flimflam
I thought this article reflects alot of how I feel in the republicans always arguing Well, Clinton did it.
As a mother, you feel like telling them, If Clinton flushed his head down a toilet doesnt mean you have to as well.
I feel like the argument is so childish. If so and so can do it then why can't I. It is a stupid arguement and it points up to the total immaturity of republicans.
Dan Froomkin writes this perfectly.

he White House, which has been so adept at distracting the media from critical issues -- "Oh, look! A shiny penny!" as one of my readers puts it -- tossed out the shiniest penny of all yesterday.

Rather than address the most weighty criticism of President Bush's decision to commute former vice presidential chief of staff Scooter Libby's prison sentence -- that it was part and parcel of a longtime cover-up of White House misdeeds -- press secretary Tony Snow lashed out at former President Bill Clinton and his would-be president wife for actions that date back more than six years.

Sen. Hillary Clinton has been among the foremost critics accusing Bush of commuting Libby's sentence in order to avoid further inquiry into his own behavior. The commutation "was clearly an effort to protect the White House," she told the Associated Press earlier this week. "There isn't any doubt now, what we know is that Libby was carrying out the implicit or explicit wishes of the vice president, or maybe the president as well, in the further effort to stifle dissent."

5. I'm not too proud to hope a DUzy nomination might be in order
:silly:

And it's true, Clenis Envy is what they suffer from, despite Clenis' failings (and by *cough* extension, Hillary's) they are still more popular than any of their "leaders". Clenis Envy, you know it when you see it and you don't admit to it when you got it. :9

7. Somehow, I don't think "Oswald did it" or "Booth did it" would get as much mileage.

8. "I hate relativism!"
That's what some Republican official was saying on Hardball while using the Clinton did worst argument. So Chris asks something like...."Okay, assuming everything you say is right, how Much time should Clinton have served? Cause if you're saying you hate relativism Libby should get about as much time and Clinton should have got."

The guy wouldn't even answer the question. IN FACT he jumped track completely and switched to Clinton pardoned terrorists so Libby isn't so bad. Undermining National Security isn't terrorism? My mistake.I thought you hated relativism dude!

He was arguing with that Schultz lady from Florida! I don't' understand how people think he's a Republican. He always brings the best Dem. opponents to shoot these dumb republicans down!
