So considering all the money Bush and Co have made for their corporate friends,
do you really think they give a fuck about impeachment?

Seems to me they have done the job they were appointed to do....and very well.

4. The arms manufacturers and oil men have already made BILLIONs in profits on Wall Street
Edited on Fri Jul-06-07 10:42 PM by Selatius
Whatever happens, I doubt the Democratic Party leadership is going to challenge Wall Street at the end of the day. They've got more than enough money to buy off the right people.

For the lives of 3500 American soldiers and several hundred thousand civilians, you too can become a billionaire.

6. Wrong about what? Billions in profits already made? Or wrong about the Party?
There aren't that many Democrats who are spoiling for a fight to directly challenge the corporations. Many Democrats are not looking for a fight. These are simply middle-of-the-road types who aren't looking for a big confrontation, but there needs to be a big confrontation for the sake of workers' rights and civil liberties.

For instance, how many Democrats voted with the Republicans to pass that atrocious "bankruptcy reform" act that benefited bankers and did nothing but make it harder for working people to get out of poverty?
