On October 14, 2006, we put down 2,759 crosses on the beach in Eastham, MA. Since that date, we have lost another 840 soldiers, which comes to 3.1578947368421052631578947368421 per day.

The 110^th Congress abdicated their responsibilities & sent a $90+ billion supplemental appropriations bill to * this spring with no timelines.

What must we do to bring our soldiers home? Is anybody listening in DC? Hello? Anybody? Bueller?

1. At first I thought you recalculated Pi using some "new math".

But you are right.
The appropriations bill was a travesty.
"We don't have the votes" - The bill should never have made it out of committee.
"The media would say mean things about the Dems" - They are gonna do it no matter what you do.
"We got what we wanted." - A minimum wage increase that isn't all that significant. Hardly worth it.
All, in my opinion a bunch of bullshit to cover for a bunch of sellouts that place their political careers over the good of our country.

Which ends in September. BushCo. had enough money sloshing round the Pentagon until then anyway for the "surge". The proposed bill had money for operation until March.

I'm not happy either way, of course.
