Al Gore looks svelte to me
The Sundance Channel just repeated his appearance. First time I've seen it today. Gore looks fabulous. With his knit golf shirt tucked into his blue jeans, he looks terrific.

I hope this puts an end to the jokes going around the talking head shows.

I'd like to see him run for president. But no matter what - I'm delighted to see him looking healthy for his sake. He's got a long road ahead of him and lots to accomplish. He's an inspiration on many levels.

1. as a private citizen he can do alot of talk about global warming and the enviroment
but as a president he could take real world wide action. It's his choice. Politics may have finally gotten to be too much for him, but, imo, if he wants to make a true difference he should run for president.

4. they'll never stop
They even admitted during the 2000 election campaign it was "fun" to mock the kooky tree-hugger who supposedly claimed to have invented the internet.

Now it's fat jokes. It's all they've got and it's pathetic.

7. Yup. If they're trying to smear the messenger
they're doing a very bad job of it. Go, Al. You're getting some vindication at last.

FWIW: His interview in this month's Rolling Stone rocks. :-)

12. Unfortunately the assholes tend to shout the loudest...
...and that makes it seem like there's more of them than actually exist. But it looks like the voices of reason and the calls to protect the planet are finally starting to drown them out.

I hope there will be a DVD set of the Live Earth event. It's a historic occasion and should be commemorated.

8. Bravo's coverage has been inane so far, so I've been watching Sundance,
and I just saw Al, and he looks great. He looks healthy, energized, and yes (I'd say), 25-30 libs. lighter. He is still husky, but certainly appears the picture of health, and no matter -- that makes me happy to see.

This has got to be a good sign, no?

26. Saw him referred to as "Fat Albert" just today.
On an automotive forum. Never underestimate the ability of conservatives to lie, to deny truth or to give up the use of any insult, no matter how inaccurate.

27. I was going to say that it looked like he lost weight too...
but it seems like everytime the topic of his weight comes up (either positive or negative) people complain that the "Weight" discussion takes away from his message. I think he looks fantastic!
