2. I don't know much about Urban or Keyes, but I was VERY impressed
by this performance and their individuals. Keyes has a voice and Urban has some hands. Anybody know anything about his country recordings?

3. I am not a country fan, but my spouse likes him
She has a great voice.

It was also great to see Crowded House back together -- they sounded very strong

4. He's married to Nicole Kidman...
How could you miss it? Their pictures on the cover of every supermarket tabloid.

5. I have to question Keith Urban's set choice. He did Two cover songs.

So you have the opportunity to perform in front of 2 billion people and you decide to do Two cover songs (gimme shelter and cat stevens' wild world)?

First off with Gimme Shelter being the theme for Altamont, you would think that the artists' involved would not want to remind the public of a concert where bikers killed someone.

Secondly is you then have annother cover song by Keith. Plus Urban broke the cardinal rule. Save the cover song for last. Usually it is saved for an encore, but of course with this gig there aren't encores...so he did the Cat Stevens song in the middle of his set?

If an artist doesn't have the ability to do a 40 minute set without doing other peoples' songs they really shouldn't have been invited. Sorry if that's harsh, but that is the standard for three clubs in town here and they only hold 250 people Max.

It's not just Keith, I also have a problem with AFI doing a cover of Ziggy Stardust.

Both of these artists have been around since 1991 or before, you'd think they could fill their set with their own songs.

C'mon it's 2 Billion people. Give them something of yourself. That's who they invited.

I'm disappointed that he didn't do better for himself.

6. I agree somewhat but these concerts also allow artists a little breathing room

At one of his own concerts Keith might be run off stage for doing too many covers. Maybe these were two of his faves he always wanted to perform. Also if you're teamed with Alicia Keyes how can you not want her to take the vocals on that one.
