A suicide bomber has killed over 100 in Iraq

TUZ KHORMATO, Iraq - A suicide truck bomber blasted a Shiite town north of Baghdad on Saturday, killing more than 100 people, police said, in a sign Sunni insurgents are pulling away from a U.S. offensive around the capital to attack where security is thinner.

1. Why is there a place in my mind when this happens

that always thinks: "Was this a truck bomb that did this much damage or was it a 500lb bomb dropped from the sky?"

It was a truck bomb. Period. Not a lot of witnesses left in the immediate area to dispute the "findings"

I think that if it weren't for the surge, the bomb could have killed even more people. Actually, I think we need to wait until September and then evaluate how many people were killed in this alleged suicide bombing.
