I'm looking forward to NBC's Showing of "Live Earth" tonight. Millions never got to see it

...those who don't have HDTV/BRAVO/SUNDANCE or use Internet Explorer. Many DU'ers tried unsuccessfully to watch and Firefox and even outdated versions of IE on their computers couldn't handle it. So....we weren't able to watch it.

Thanks to those who could for updating what was going on...it was hard not being able to watch no matter what some of us did. My Quick Time which is updated and is all that Firefox/MS would allow me to use as "other browser" ran at warp speed garbeling the sound and images and eventually stalled, and even using AOL which has IE as their browser didn't offer anything but "clips" for this DU'er. I have pretty new computer...with lots of free space and DSL. But, nothing I did spending an hour or more "tweaking" allowed me to watch.

I'll wait for the Crap Job NBC does tonight to see it. I hope those who attended really got the message...because THEY are our hope and I'm glad to hear that so many DU'ers who could watch found that it was as good as we all hoped it would be!

I don't have my hopes too high though, so I will watch online. I wish they would realize that no one cares about what their pundits think of the show, we just want to watch the show.

4. Here in Canada was probably the best coverage anywhere...

...five different channels have been carrying the entire show live since last night, when it started in Australia. CTV/MuchMusic/MuchMoreMusic/Bravo/STAR TV have been doing a fantastic job...of course the local talking heads have been irritating, but the scope of coverage has been unmatched. We even got to hear Madonna urge the Wembley crowd to sing along with "lemme hear you motherfuckers!"

I can only imagine how NBC's slickly packaged two hour version is going to go. Sans "motherfucker"...we can safely say that.

16. wow five channels - cnbc at 7pm tonight which is a cable channel

then at 8pm edt nbc has the concert - I have cnbc on right now - they have yusef on and had something in a church with the vatican support of live earth or something like that - did not impress me

17. there was something on yahoo that said msn was having trouble

with so many tuning in by computer and could not connect or was connecting slow - most of us got on early this morning so we have kept connection I guess - try again -

but they seem to be lucky or whatever. I couldn't get it with all my tweaking.

Wait for the NBC THINGY at 9:00 p.m.....if you couldn't get it or YOU TUBE...which should be FILLED WITH IT..THIS WEEK. It's not the kind of concert one needs to see LIVE...anyway. IT's a MOVEMENT!!!!

24. The 3 hours on NBC plus the snips of garbled stuff trying to get it from Firefox/AOL/IE were GREAT!

Wish I coulda watched it as long as other DU'ers were able to...but thankful for the bit I saw.
