Why can't we push and organize a Concert for bringing our soldiers home and getting out of Iraq??

How do we begin?

If our elected Reps won't stand up for us - there ARE other avenues to get more and more attention.

1. FWIW, I think that's a fantastic idea! Haven't a clue how to get
something like that organized, but here's a :kick:

3. There are certainly enough musicians who would sign on . . .
starting with: The Dixie Chicks

I know Kevin Bacon, John Legend, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Rolling Stones and many more are 'one of us'.

6. I'm sure a load of artists would get behind this; the more fame they have,
the less they'd care about tarnishing their 'image, and their presence would only add to it imo!

2. A lot of artists will not show up
This type of event would be considered too controversial and divisive.

And the sad fact is that many artists (especially mainstream artists)would think twice about disrupting their meal ticket $$$$$

5. Coalition of the Chilling
Probably get a LOT of the folks we're seeing today on Live Earth. Lots of vocal anti-war musicians out there.

7. I think so . . .
It would certainly draw people's attention to contacting their representatives and putting pressure on Congress to DO SOMETHING.

It seems music unites - and with the popular faces onstage asking to bring our soldiers home - it certainly couldn't hurt!

Would certainly smear mud all over BushCo's face (s).

8. What if you could text "NO WAR" to a number
and it autogenerated a letter to your reps based on the originating area code.

9. That's a great idea . . .
For me - it would be preaching to the choir since my Rep. is Barbara Lee - but it would be great to see Feinstein's face when she gets hit with all those letters!
