9. They showed it live when the feed was on London
But Bravo's coverage goes to 2 am (central), so it's bound to repeat!

I've got the DVR set for 22 hours -- from 4 a.m. this morning to the end.

17. Hey, DG
You're welcome. I found it somehow from one of the Live Earth sites last week. I can buy offsets for all of my trips this year (Chicago three times and DC once) for $9.95. Pretty good deal if you ask me. I haven't done it yet, but I'm going to.

21. Yeah,
they wanted me to sign up for the $49.95 one (good for 20K flight miles), but I'm sticking with the $9.95 ones. Plus you can get them to offset your driving!! :bounce:

24. I didn't realize that
Edited on Sat Jul-07-07 09:48 PM by SharonRB
Not sure if I'll go that far. I'm paying our electric utility for renewable energy and probably won't actually get it myself for quite a while yet. It will help them develop more wind and solar facilities and eventually I guess I'll actually get to use some of it myself. They'll gradually replace what's on the grid now with the renewable sources as they come on line.

6. Antarctica was on quite a while ago
I suspect NBC will probably show it just because it's a unique event. The band is actually made up of some of the scientists stationed down there in Penguin-land. Their carbon footprint must be relatively low, since I didn't witness any ice melting in the background while they were playing.

11. I was wondering the same thing.
Did Antartica tie in with Australia? I didn't see Antartica mentioned at all and I've been watching for hours.

25. What's heartwarming to me is there
are several generations of youngsters getting 'the message' us 'old hippies' are putting out (along with, of course, the younger bands as well)..... the audience shots are great. Intergenerational stuff at its best....we CAN unite! (unless of course you are a congress critter, and by now, they are all in bed thinking of non-binding resolutions and never honored subpoenas).
