For me, it's somewhere between Alisha Keys and Kanye West.

Brad has also played with Son Volt, Ryan Adams, Whiskeytown (among others) He also has a great solo album "Karma Bed"
Urban himself is an incredibly talented musician who loves rockandroll and country in equal measure.

79. All in all it was a pretty amazing day all around, but I have to agree, these two
knocked me for a loop. I looked at my SO and said K Urban is supposed to be "country" what the hey, I'd never heard of him.

He was amazing and well I'm just sorry about Alicia, I never knew. I'd been pretty snowed by Norah along with the Dixie Chicks.

I've been living in the dark.

Sorry.

71. Did he play "Waiting on the World to Change"?
I missed his set and am honestly hoping he didn't. I just think it's inappropriate given the theme of the day (the song's all about the generation that could do something but won't). I know it's a top ten song, but still, just my personal opinion that it would have been better to not play it.

Plus, I'll admit: that song is a pet peeve of mine. It sort of sums of the bad attitude I see in the younger generation today.

But, he's very good and gives a great performance - don't get me wrong on that! Didn't mean to come down on him in general! :)

56. I can't believe no one's mentioned Cat Stevens!!
It's great to see him perform, he's one of my favorites. Roger Waters and the Police were good of course, and I liked James Blunt a surprising amount too.

67. Cat Stevens
Has anyone found a recording of him performing online? I've been trying to find it all day - never seem to tune into the show at the right time. I don't know if there is any channel to record the germany show on so I can watch him.

80. No Cat Stevens on Bravo either.
Now that they have finished their main coverage (ending with the Police, of course) they're running a "best of" show, but it's the same stuff they already played more than once over the course of the day.

If a TV station is going to be on the air 18 hours with this shit, why are they repeating ANYTHING, and leaving out great performances? :(

I always had thought of Bon Jovi as lightweight but he sure puts on a good show.

72. I missed a lot of it
But I have a feeling that this concurrent concert was designed to linger for weeks after the fact. People will be viewing clips of performances they missed. I saw many acts but hardly all of them.

It was great to see Crowded House again. They helped set the tone in the beginning very well. Watching Roger Waters and company was oh so delicious. Save Our Sausage! The Police were so fine. I absolutely loved the Jam with them, John Mayer and Kanye West. The film with the shopkeeper, the lady customer and the plastic bags was hilarious. The one with the children talking made me bawl my eyes out.

I don't know about you folk but I will be enjoying this concert for the next month. Live Earth lives!

82. There's no question that Melissa Etheridge stole the show
And I'm sure GE would love to make that footage disappear.

Other greats: The Police, Roger Waters, Keith Urban & Alisha Keys, and President Gore!

85. There were lots of good acts...
The three that stuck out for us most (we were streaming, so we checked out ALL the concerts when we could), were 12 Girl Band out of China, Yellow Magic Orchestra out of Japan, and Melissa Etheridge here in NYC...we enjoyed the whole show immensely, and were happy to see so many different types of bands...a GREAT show!!!
