First thing this am - Live Earth To Dos

Hi all - just a suggestion that those of us who have email lists, send notes and links to the Live Earth site to our friends, families, and enemies (if you have them)... maybe just links to the parts of the program you liked particularly.

Yesterday. I sent a link around to people I thought were fairly savvy and was surprised that several of them had no idea that this was going on. I didn't question what cave they have been inhabiting because I am polite that way with friends and family... ok most of them anyway. AND I do understand that DUers are more than a little aware of which butterfly is batting its wings in which part of the world at any given moment. You may have family and friends suffering from the same uninformed state of mind.

Pick a couple of links,(http://liveearth.msn.com/) write a few words of encouragement, be sure to let them know about the pledge and that you have signed it. Perhaps tell them that the event already broke records for online streaming at 9 million yesterday and that the globe has NEVER had a world wide event of this magnitude before. They will certainly want to be in on it.

Simple. Direct. It may add in our collective survival in ways we will never know.

People need to know about this and if they do know, we all need to start talking about it and what we will be doing in our respective towns, cities, rural areas.

Do it today - while the momentum is growing.

2. I would link to some of the concerts pieces

- there is a way to link to them directly on the MSN site. (http://liveearth.msn.com/) If you go to Watch the Show and choose a location, it now allows you to seek out the artist and choose a song of your choice. The url is at the top of the page.

Or, you can send them to the general page and links to the different things on You Tube for those that may not be able to navigate the MSN site too easily.

I haven't had much luck sending links to DU as the urls are too long and some of my luddite friends don't know to include the address that wraps to the second line.

3. Viewing the Live Earth Concerts, Animations, PSAs

are best viewed on IE. Macs and other browsers have limited access to all the bells and whistles.
