Shuster seems to actually study up on the details and facts of things and doesn't seem to let the Republican lier's get away with as much.

I don't have a TV but on the short clips I have seen at crooksandliars.com, Shuster is quite impressive. Where did he come from?

1. Absolutely!
Maybe Tweedy will cut back on his schedule now...his diabetes is a real health concern at this phase.

2. I love him. I saw him on Tucker or Hardball and he was just
amazing!!! Even better than David Gregory (who did Meet the Press today), who I really like, too.

Maybe with NYT seeing the tide is changing and they're changing their ways, MSNBC will wise up and put one of the two in the 9pm hour that Scarborough used to have. And then they could put the other one in the 10 o'clock hour instead of those stupid prison shows.

I can dream....

5. Gregory? He sucks up to Rove-Bush** a lot. I saw him dancing with his buddy Rove
at a dinner. Plus he has lightened up on Bush** in news conferences. He is now a shill.

3. We have had a lot of posts about David
over the past several days. I don't think anyone has mentioned that he once worked for FOX.

I remember reading that he talked with his mother about his frustration with the way he was guided to report their news. She told him to leave and find a job working for a real news organization. I am so glad he took her advice to leave.

Until recently I was still not sure he had landed at a real news organization. MSNBC can fix their corporate sucking up problem by giving him his own show. However, I don't trust Dan Abrams to do the right thing.

6. I read somewhere on this site that......
Schuster went to MSNBC from fauxnews several years ago.

I guess he couldn't stand delivering pretend news over there............

7. It is true that Shuster used to work for FOX News, Fixed News, Fox Noise, whatever.

I don't know much about him but I know that much.

The story is that he first came on board in the late '90s while Clinton was still in office. At that time, of course, Fox had a very deep interest in serving as a watchdog on the White House and the administration. So long as that was the case, Shuster was relatively comfortable as a journalist there. Then * moved into the White House and all of a sudden things changed. Fox no longer wanted to do tough, critical reporting of the doings in the White House. Shuster didn't like this. He began to see that the reason Fox was so tough on the White House during the Clinton years wasn't because they were doing their jobs as journalists. Shuster decided it was time to look for a job elsewhere, and ended up at MSNBC, where he would again be permitted to look at the President with a critical eye.

Oh, and another thing: he graduated from the University of Michigan. This became well known when he pledged in a blog before last year's Ohio State-Michigan football game that Michigan would win and if they didn't, he'd eat his prediction. They lost, and a video was made of him eating a shredded-up printout of his blog prediction, from a bowl, with milk.
