Here he is so soulful, and smart, and talented... and obviously committed to the global warming movement. A flat-out fantastic performance - one of the many that brought down the house. An inspiration. And I have to ask... what could a guy like this see in Jessica Simpson?

3. Seriously....
I could see him with someone like Natalie Portman... or Cameron Diaz... but Jessica Simpson?? The only thing she's contributed to society (besides operation smile) is crappy pop songs and a line of shoes.

I guess opposites attract.

2. I don't like all the songs I've heard by him but I do like "Waiting on the
World to Change" a lot. And I agree that he is a very talented musician who seems like a very friendly, down to earth guy.

4. As someone who has known many talented musicians, let me enlighten you-

Talent and decency seldom reside in the same vessel.
Some of the most talented people I have known are
absolute shit heads and I, like you, have sat
shaking my head many times wondering,
"How could a person that makes such beautiful art be such a dumbfuck?"

Sorry, but I have rarely met an artist in person, who was anything
close to their art as a human being...
Very few indeed.

John Trudell is one of those rare artists.
He is a jewel of an artist and person.
Ted Hawkins (RIP) another beautiful one.
Odetta, Carolyn Hester as well as John Prine.
All of them, the exceptions, very few others,
in my personal experience of artists.
The one's who are gifted and good are the ones
you'll never hear; most of them don't have the stomach
for the bizz.
