"Mr Bush, why did you oppose any investigation into the 9-11 attacks for over six months?" |

This is a question I wished the democratic nominee in 2004 had asked Mr. Bush.
After Pearl Harbor, there was an immediate and thorough investigation.
After the Kennedy Assassination, thgere was an immediate and thorough (if flawed and censored) investigation.
But Mr. Bush did not agree to an investigation of the 9-11 attacks until April 2002, and even then, it was given a paltry budget, a short time frame, the Pentagon and White House were chronically uncooperative in supplying information they needed, and the final report is widely regarded as a whitewash, designed more to shut down inquiry than to enlighten.
So why, why, WHY does an American president oppose an investigation into the worst foreign attack on US soil in over 100 years?
It doesn't make sense unless he has something to hide.

Bush was too busy to mount an investigation? He seemed to have enough time to stonewall against having one...
