2. For me, it was Roger Waters. It would have been great for another Live 8

reunion, but you take what you can get. Sigh.

9. I'm with you David....

Maybe it's a generational thing, but I watched most of the day,
many of the acts were beyond me... and some of it was just a yawn.
But in the evening when Roger Waters came out, it was the high point.
I never realized what a genius he is musically, and his political statements made me cry... I realized what we've been missing.

I realized I'm going to get flamed, but I don't get Madonna. I know she's considered an icon, but she can't sing. Oh she has great 'arrangements' and some interesting writing, but you can't compare her to the greats, even Kelly Clarkson sings much better.

But Roger Waters....? the new singers can't touch him.

3. And, for some strange reason, the ONLY video of Melissa Etheridge on YT is overdubbed

with a German translation. No idea why. I bet she would show up in the top 10 also, if they had a decent recording among their Live Earth offerings. I know I looked for that often, and with poor results.

Madonna just gets better and better every year. Gogol Bordello is an amazingly tight band. It was wonderful
