When you see a Bush/Cheney or "W04" bumper sticker on a car......

.... Do you suddenly feel the need to reveal your political persuasion to that vehicle's occupants?

For whatever reason, I saw a Bush/Cheney sticker on an SUV (of course!) today while stuck in a traffic logjam on I-75 in Detroit, and it irritated me. So as soon as I could, I pulled over to the left of the big-ass SUV and rolled down my passenger side window, because the SUV driver (who resembled John Sununu) had his window down. Traffic wasn't moving, so our vehicles were side to side, and I BLASTED the Sam Seder show out of the window just as he was going off on a major anti-Bush rant. The driver heard it, and gave me a look.
That satisfied me to no end. :evilgrin: :smoke:

6. While at the dog show yesterday,

I saw a SUV with a bunch of stickers on it. One of the most batshit-crazy, deranged displays of wingnut ignorance I've ever seen. Not only did it have the obligatory "W04" sticker, but it had "Rice '08", "Conservatives Do It Better" (Who knows what "it" is.), and a bunch of abortion stickers. (There was one sticker that had little symbols of a flag, a gun, and a fetus, among other symbols. I had no idea what the hell that was.)

The lady was showing standard poodles (She had a poodle vanity plate), and she looked like a wingnut psycho who stands on her front porch and yells at the neighborhood kids. I parked close to her, and I know she saw my DU sticker and all my anti-bush stickers when she walked her dog. We left soon after, and she shot us an evil look as we passed by.

I then ask if they made a police report or found the vandal. :evilgrin:

17. I don't sell my pix.

Just print it on tacky back paper and stick (unless you live in a rainy area). Some folks have put my pix on the inside of their vehicles taped to the back/side windows, while others have laminated them to waterproof them (and used velcro).

it's always some very old white person--usually a woman--driving. i make it a point to drive up along side of them just to see what they look like.

i figure it's one of two things:
they still like him
or
they haven't figured out a way to get the fucking bumper sticker off the car!

A friend in a print shop ran off rolls and rolls of great stickers for us, but my favorite was a round sticker that just had a screw on it. It fit perfectly over the "heart" part of those "I (heart) my (insert dog breed here) stickers that were so popular! The best thing about it was that I learned that most people don't even notice a change like that (when was the last time you looked at the back of your car? closely?).

I'd say that most of these chuckleheads don't even remember putting the stickers on, and the moment that they are made aware of the foolishness of their vote (by some prog with a good set of pipes who can get the message across at 60 miles an hour), the stickers come off.

But hey, folks. As a veteran of some of the worst traffic conditions this fine nation has to offer (Boston! LA! Manhattan! Seattle! and coming soon: Portland!) there are plenty of other minievents we all experience during every drive, any one of which could set us off like Mt. St. Helens. I dig The Road Warrior, but hey, it's a movie! Cool out! Most conservatives are keeping pretty quiet these days. Shame'll do that.
