7. The man is out to lunch
Washington Post Article by Peter Baker.

The few times Bush actually comes face to face with critics, another coping mechanism emerges:
In some cases, Baker writes, "Bush can seem disengaged. When he flew to New York to visit a
Harlem school and promote his education program, he brought along New York congressmen
on Air Force One, including Democrat Charles B. Rangel, chairman of the House Ways and Means
Committee. The White House was in the midst of tough negotiations with Rangel over trade pacts.
But Bush did not try to cut a deal with Rangel, chatting instead about baseball. 'He talked a lot
about the Rangers,' Rangel said. 'I didn't know what the hell he was talking about.'"

12. We have less than 2 years to try to turn around disastrous policies. Everyone has been affected one
way or another. I want them to get universal health care through. I also want an investigation of oil gouging by the companies, and I want it stopped. I want investigations to continue about voter caging and voter machines, and I want guarantees that we will have honest elections. I want an investigation of the mortgage industry that has brought this country to the brink of financial ruin, and I want preventions put in place so it never happens again. I want people to be able to unionize without fear of being fired. I want the outsourcing of jobs to stop, and the downward spiral of our wages to end. I want companies with US contracts to have to be US companies who pay US taxes. I want to stop companies from being able to offshore just to avoid paying taxes. I want to have protections in place so that I know what is in my food and where it came from. I also want the same for my pets. I want deregulation by lack of enforcement to end. I want all the tax breaks for the richest repealed and I want the IRS watching them as much as they do us little people. I want the bottom line to be safety and jobs not the CEO raking in tens of millions of dollars. Especially in the health care industry where for profit corporations are allowed to enrich their top dogs while Medicare goes broke. I want Social Security secured. I want the war in Iraq ended, and all bases closed. I want hemp to be grown and used to help save our earth. I want alternative fuels fully funded and oil use ended. I want the US to not owe China so we have a say in the fact that they are poisoning us, abusing workers, enslaving children, threatening Taiwan, etc. I want the deficit gone and Wall Street transparent. I want pensions guaranteed, and workers not fired just before they collect them. I want to be able to sue for race, age, sex discrimination. I want to be able to sue for medical malpractice should it occur, and receive damages that are determined by severity not a limit. I want to know if the WH fired attorneys for political reasons, and I want the WH to know they are not above the law. And I would love to see Cheney and Bush impeached, but quite frankly there isn't much time to do it all. Republicans are not in power, but they are able to drag their feet and cause delay. I don't think I am letting them off the hook because I can see that we may not get to impeachment. I'm willing to accept war crime trials after they have left office. But I want my country back, and there is a lot to do to get it there.

16. I think they both have separate agendas
Cheney all adminstration dealings, and Bush hides in his religious and fundi thought disorders.

18. He never developed beyond "Look, Ma! No hands!"
Edited on Mon Jul-09-07 09:36 AM by TahitiNut
Absolutely no 'thought' has ever been born in the pathological narcissist's skull other than another iteration of this plea to be noticed ... to be the center of attention.

I'd find it amusing if it weren't so frightening that ANYONE would continue to invest any time and effort in seeking the 'thoughts' or 'feelings' of that psychopath. Such conjecture is about as useful as contemplating a reef shark's aesthetic opinion of one's bathing suit.

19. "There are known knowns...
there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know."

Uh huh...
