Bombers aimed to bring Baghdad carnage to UK

http://news.scotsman.com/scotland.cfm?id=1063502007

THE terror attacks at Glasgow Airport and London were a calculated act of revenge intended to bring the carnage of Baghdad to Britain's streets, investigators have revealed.

Security sources have briefed senior politicians that the failed assaults of last weekend were most likely part of a "profoundly political campaign" to punish the UK for its part in the invasion and occupation of Iraq. snip

He added: "They are exactly the sort of thing the Iraqi people have to face on the streets of Basra and Baghdad every day, and I don't believe that is a coincidence. The Joint Terrorist Analysis Centre warned there could be an attack to coincide with Brown arriving, so no one should be surprised."

Thats a killer for the Republicans who have been swearing up and down that brutally invading and occupying Iraq would make us safer. Think about it. This is the 800 pound gorilla in the room right now. That is why no one wants to talk about it.

1. Indeed but

I'm not surprised. Remember we're killing them over there so they don't come over to kill us. Remember Bushco and Blair/Brown have the right to kill any number of Iraqis and not expect retaliation.

2. Explains a lot
rather than a bunch of islamic fundamentalists who 'hate us for our freedom' it is a bunch of medical professionals appalled at the carnage being wrought, who decided to take matters into their own hands, but, NOT being al Qaeda 'operatives' had not the skills or training to succeed. The were figuratively saying "we're mad as hell and not going to take it any more." A Boston Tea Party, albeit with deadly intent.

3. well that certainly justifies MORE killings in your opinion? cowards all
intead of attacking the actual attackers they seek to condemn, they attack innocent people who have nothing to do with their alleged reason for being cowards.

one set of scum versus another set of scum.

4. You have quite an imagination there
If you read the article you may notice that it is British authorities who are making this connection. Not me.

I can stand the truth. Obviously you can't so you felt the need to attack me.

Pitiful.
