of candidates, where one seeks only one issue vs one seeking everything-but-that-issue (inpeachment)...it's not a hard decision for me. If I was in the district concerned (a constituent) I think it would be even easier: I'd vote for someone with some experience in governance, and with a larger set of goals for We The People.

3. Nancy Pelosi - No contest! |
|
Cindy Sheehan has no qualifications or experience to be in the House of representatives, she is just a favorite of a small group of internet activists. As Dean proved, internet support does not translate to real world support. I'm thinking Pelosi will get near 80% against Sheeehan and it will embarrass all the left extremists who have made Sheehan their pet cause.

I'm sick of the fringe green party members who aren't Democrats anyway and they continue to slander a great liberal Democrat like Nancy Pelosi, fuck them! they conveniently never identify the truth - they aren't Democrats to begin with, always keeping it quiet. I will continue to call them extremists and stand by it.

12. I am disappointed Cindy chose the independent route |
|
out of frustration but I don't view her as extremist. I view the bush administration as extremist. Cindy would have a better case if she pushed for Cheney to be impeached because it would be the more doable of the two. I always vote and work for dems but share Cindy's distaste for Pelosi's current position of letting this administration off the hook. I will work hard and constructively to change her mind.

|
she will ignore your advice to "fuck them". On a far left website like DU she is polling dead even with Cindy and I'd bet she'd be down elsewhere too.
The extremists are on the other side.

Same here. Personally, I wouldn't vote for Sheehan in the first place. Candidates have to be a little broader than just one, single issue in order for me to consider them.

I'm just across the bay from her district so I might be representative of her constituents (sp?). I sure wouldn't vote against Ms Peolosi.

I think the Sheehan sycophants actually believe that Sheehan would become the next speaker, by default.

18. It's not a matter of whether Cindy would get enough votes... |
|
to actually defeat the *-enabling Ms. Pelosi.
It's whether she could pull enough votes away from her to affect the outcome of the race.
Think Ralph Nader in 2000, 2004...

The only hope we have is to get enough Dems to actually have some leverage. Eating our own is not a good idea.

I agree with Sheehan's message, but she has not shown in any way that she is up to being a member of Congress. It requires a lot more than just conviction and stridency.
