Republiclown compares Iraq war to a patient in intensive care.
I heard a republican schmuck call into cspan and say that leaving Iraq would be the same as leaving a seriously injured patient open and alone in the middle of surgery and just walking off with no regard for his health or welfare.

My diagnosis would be, (and I'm not a doctor), the patient is on total life support, shows no hope for improvement, and the plug should be pulled. The patient is demised. The patient is formerly alive, no longer among the living, departed, terminated, checked out, bought the farm.

The patient had no health insurance and has fallen through the system. The patient is in an irreversible coma and is brain dead, and we know how republicans like to keep those types of patients alive as long as possible.

1. Not to mention the fact that we were the ones that put him in
the hospital to begin with - you want your mugger to operate on you?

2. Insurance money ran out years ago - pull the plug
Give the Iraqis a taste of good ol' American compassionate conservatism.

3. not to mention the fact
that the patient didn't need an operation in the first place. Iraq is now a dead victim of malpractice :grr:

4. It's more like a surgeon cutting into a completely healthy body...
...and instead of realizing his mistake and ending the surgery immediately before he does any real damage; instead asks his colleagues around the operating table "hey, you know anyone who needs a liver and a perfectly good heart while we are in here?"

6. The analogy holds, especially in Texas
because we all know this patient is terminal, and once his insurance cap is reached, the life support will be shut off and he'll be allowed to shuffle off this mortal coil.

No money, no more glorious dreams of Empire, Stupid, it's as simple as that.

Now do us all a favor and resign and take Cheney with you.
