Killing Saddam's sons will be the end of the fighting

Catching Saddam will be the end to the fighting.

Catching or killing some Iraqi terra-ist will be the end of the fighting.

After the election(s) everything will be alright.

Things are improving in Iraq.

People are enlisting by the boatload to go over there and get blown to smithereens.

The mercenaries are contractors.

We will eventually get the Iraqis oil if we keep sending people into that meat grinder.

The Iraqis are all terra-ists if they don't give us their oil.

Perhaps if we send more soldiers that might do the trick.

We are sending "blast proof" vehicles over there that the Iraqis can't blow up.

Silly string is the answer to everything.

Etc.

1. Why do you hate 'Murika?
Seriously though, I think it's human nature to want to just believe everything's alright. Think of all the parents that completely ignore that their child is a huge discipline problem in school... I think our country's the same way. I think we want to believe that our "child" (aka, the United States) is doing good things because it's a reflection on the choices that we, as a society, have made. More specifically, given the very limited viewership of Fox News, the choices that Republican voters have made.

3. L. Ron Hubbard came up with the same scam.
In a lot of ways, they even sell the same product.
