Fly an Impeach Cheney Banner Over All Star Game on Tuesday!
http://afterdowningstreet.org/node/24477

We can do this if we raise the $ today. The pilot is ready to fly. If we all chip in a bit of $ here, it will happen. This idea originated in the Nationwide Movement to Impeach Cheney and Bush facebook group.

8. I'll be at the game. I'll see what I can do.
I DO know that they are sweeping the bay (McCovey Cove) and they are being UBER NUTS re: security. I'll bring my digital and see if I can get a picture.

I'm going to contribute so, just in case they are able to pull it off, you will know Cousin Tom was partly behind it.

I will watch for you on the teevee.

9. The Homeland Sec Adm Is Placing a TFR around that.....

............venue.......so if you do decide to do that you will be visited by a F-16 and escorted to the nearest airport....searched...question....and severely fined and no pardon will be offered...If you decide not to comply with the F-16 escort you will be subject to being shot down....

TFR mean Temporary Flight Restriction......I work in aviation and am very familiar with this policy..I have to apply it daily to my job.

To the mod who deleted my earlier post to this thread why don't you PM me and tell me why?????

(military, law enforcement & sked airlines)
edit: -theoretically- one can request a waiver but it wouldn't be likely to be given, especially at the last minute.
I haven't needed one for years but I suspect it's not very easy these days.

17. The TFR mentions "Private Charter." Wouldn't/couldn't this be classified as a charter?
I know you are an experienced commercial pilot.....that's why I'm asking...:)

I'm wondering why this guy is collecting dough if they can't do it.

Thanks again (I should have phrased my previous question better)

exceptions I never heard of. Banner towing would fall under 91 I'm pretty sure. But it's conceivable he actually has
a waiver...or plans to stay outside the boundaries (which would kinda defeat the purpose) I sort of wonder why he needs to be paid anyway...it costs about fifty bucks to fly a 172 around for an hour...but I don't know what his game plan is.

edit: By the way, if you can't access DUATS, this site is pretty good at keeping up with current flight condx:

21. There's no fee (for the waiver) and it can only be gotten from the FAA.
Edited on Mon Jul-09-07 09:39 PM by karlrschneider
As I said, I haven't needed to get one for years so I'm not up on how well it works (or doesn't) these days. Maybe I can find out, I know a few news pilots who probably keep up with it...

edit: my buddy over at KOTV had a little info - he said to start at this link but you might not be able to access the
actual application page without pilot credentials...not sure
