That Bill Clinton issued more Executive Privilege claims than any other President. At least 14 from Whitewater to Info on Asassinations in Haiti.
Now with out any checking I know it must be wrong but .... Help me out here .... Quick I'm feeling dizzy.....

Of course Clinton attempted to claim executive privilege in the Lewinsky case. He lost, though.

those who watch Fox and are postively responsive to their RW media bias (I'm being quite polite today) don't give a single shit whether it's true or not. Fox will say it anyway and those who listen will be surprised that it's only 14, not 140...or 1400. Second of all, since when is Clinton's Presidency become the benchmark for these idiots? I thought he was the only American who these bastards thought was worse than Hitler, and that only marginally. Just think, when Fox is broadcasting 300 years form now in 3-D Holographic vision, Clinton will still be vilified.
Screw them.
But do continue to watch and give us reports. I for one, can't stand to deal with them anymore...

1998 Federal Judge Rejects President Bill Clinton’s Claim Of Executive Privilege President Bill Clinton tried to use executive privilege to keep two of his aides from having to testify before a grand jury investigating the Monica Lewinsky scandal. A federal judge denied the claim, saying the need for the information outweighed the need for confidentiality. President Clinton did not appeal to the Supreme Court, leaving the aides free to testify.

my point, though, is that people here seem to dismiss "Executive Privilege" entirely. That's a mistake.
It is a real privilege, but its extent is unkown. The separation of powers is important, and the fact that Clinton had to testify before a Grand Jury isn't particularly relevant.

11. Even if he did.. so what? Clinton is their only trump card left |
|
never mind the fact that they thought Clinton was a horrible President, and that they vilified him for everything he did. In 1998 their mantra was "we can't allow this". In 2007 it's "it's ok because Clinton did it." At least David Shuster has been nailing people for that pathetic little excuse on Hardball..
