John Edwards - 1 in 8 Americans live in poverty
One in 8 Americans lives in poverty—37 million today, that's 5 million more than when George W. Bush took office. Our response to this problem says everything about the character of America.

America is stronger when our middle class is growing, instead of shrinking. And to lead the world in addressing the great challenges of our century, America must first restore our moral standing in the world. That means leading by example, and showing the world that hard challenges don't frighten us, but call us to action. There is no better opportunity to make this clear and help build One America than by setting a national goal of ending poverty in America within 30 years—and working together to meet it.

8. I can't wait to see the
press on his Road to One America Tour - I hope the citizen journalists get it out there because the MSM will be lacking on this.

9. K&R, I signed it.
I used to be one of those 1 in 8 Americans not so long ago, so I do what I can to help those that are still struggling.
