No underlying crime meme--there is no underlying crime because |
|
Libby covered the crime up by lying and obstructing justice. That's not really so hard to figure out, is it? They are without shame, every last republican should have to wear a Scarlet W on their shirts or blouses to remind everyone about how they supported Cheney's puppet.

2. Absolutely. And, * didn't pardon Libby....because if he had then |
|
Libby could be questioned by Congress. After all, there would be no reason to obstruct unless there was an underlying crime. I also read here on DU of the Dept. Of Justice guidelines that say to receive a commutation one must have served time (some at least) and given up the appeals process which Libby has not. Yep, * is thumbing his nose at the law. Time for impeachment. So many reasons so little time.

Libby was convicted of lying to a grand jury, that is the only crime that is an issue.Whether there was a crime matters not.
Edit: Pretty damn poor spelling and grammar.

5. it's such a stupid argument |

there's no requirement that there be an underlying crime. The perjury and obstruction were criminal in and of themselves.
