Is "post-surge redeployment" similar to "peace with honor?"

Report: Bush team debates 'gradual withdrawal' from deadliest parts of Iraq
President Bush's advisers are debating whether the administration should announce plans to begin a "gradual withdrawal" of American troops from the deadliest parts of Iraq, according to The New York Times.

The news comes one day after The Washington Post revealed that the White House doesn't expect Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's government to meet any of the president's benchmarks for evaluating success in Iraq.

The discussions about "post-surge redeployment" are being revealed as Congress begins its own debate on military spending. This follows the defections of GOP Sens. Richard Lugar, Pete Domenici and George Voinovich, all of whom have expressed concern about the long-term consequences of an open-ended conflict.

2. Yes.
And we had better hold their feet to the fire, Don. These murderous Republicans are now going to try to look like they "ended" the war in "victory". Bullshit.

Thanks for your post.
