I challenge ANY right-winger to step outside and deny that global warming is real |
|
You always hear the same whiny excuse, "It's always hot in the summer. Maybe so, but not THIS hot. This summer is hotter than last summer, which was hotter than the previous year, and so forth. Any friggin idiot can tell that each year is getting progressively warmer. Hell, even our winters are getting warmer!
I dare any of these idiots to say global warming doesn't exist.

in the weather doesn't prove or disprove global warming. I hear idiots in the winter saying "It's below zero today. Where's your global warming now?" One hot day, one hot summer, several hot summers does not global warming make.

2. They can and will because they will hear from their chirstian scientists that there were |
|
hotter summers in the past. Been there done that. Never mind the facts or anything else that makes this heat wave different, none of that matters because we had a cold winter, never mind that it didn't get cold until the end of december, it was the coldest winter of the last 30 years.

Saw it on the news yesterday. By this time last summer we had 23 days where the temp was above 90. This summer we have had four. We have yet to break 100 here. Back in 2001 in May it was 100 in Minneapolis, Mn. I happen to remember that day because I flew back from Europe then. Unusually hot days are not that unusual, but winters are much wimpier than I remember them.
Not that that disproves or proves global warming. I'm just talking about the local weather.

6. Sorry, But Leading The Debate With A "Go Outside And Feel For Yourself' Concept Is Ignorant. |
|
That's not what this is about. It IS in fact always hot in the summer and each summer has its hot days. Different regions may be affected in different years. You can't just go outside and say "See! Global warming is real!", since that would be the most foolish way of going about such a thing.
Global warming is real. There are mountains of facts and evidence supporting it. And it isn't just warming, it's climate change in general. But using actual science and facts is what is useful. Using nothing but "See? It's hot out there today!" is just plain wrong.
If you're going to call out people and challenge them to debate, while calling them idiots (which they are), it is best to do so with actual facts and scientific evidence instead of return idiocy. Just something to think about.
