Did Michael Savage just call for violence against Muslims in Britain?

He didn't come out and actually say it, but it sounded like he was kind of hinting towards it. I was listening to his show a little bit this evening, and he was saying how even "moderate" Muslims in Britain are funding the "jihad" movement. He then said something about Britain having to make a very difficult choice. Here's where it gets chilling - he said that nobody in Britain was prepared to do what "has to be done", except perhaps the soccer thugs - the people you see fighting during soccer matches.

Does anyone interpret that as endorsing violence against Muslims?

I'd rather people just come out and express their bigoted thoughts than try and hide them. He finally got pushed too far and wrote on his blog that Ann Coulter was a genius and that the world would probably be safer if we did bomb the muslims kill their leaders and convert them to christianity.

We're better than that. If someone had the power to censor somone even as fucked up as Savage is, where does it stop. We just have to hope the number of drooling idiots that take him seriously remains small. Freedom of speech works both ways.

I heard him tonight say that Al Gore is on the Apple Board of Directors, and the only
reason that he did the concert was to drum up support for the new Apple iPhone.

The man is a complete and total lunatic. I've listened to a great deal of right-wing
radio in my day. He's the outer fringe and definitely the angriest, most vitriolic
voice out there.

The biggest crime is that these people go unchecked. They spew half truths and false
arguments based on flawed suppositions--but they're skilled orators and debaters.

It's really a disease foisted upon our generation that is bamboozling so many people.
