5. LOL, I misread that as "Call Me Madam"

I almost didn't click in because I was expecting that cheesy picture of Rudi Gulliani with his blond wig , boobs and "beauty mole".

I just heard about Vitter 15 minutes ago and haven't googled him yet. Nice to know he has a 100% rating. I figured it might only be 95%.

6. Nice guy ..... Rhodes Scholar and a bigot too.
From Wiki

In June 2006, in line with several of his Republican colleagues in the Senate, Vitter came out strongly in
favor of amending the U.S. Constitution to ban same sex marriages. He said, "I don't believe there's any
issue that's more important than this one ... I think this debate is very healthy, and it's winning a lot of
hearts and minds. I think we're going to show real progress."<3>

At a Lafayette Parish Republican Executive Committee luncheon, Vitter also compared gay marriage to
hurricanes Katrina and Rita, stating, "It's the crossroads where Katrina meets Rita. I always knew I was
against same-sex unions."

11. David Vitter's bio
David Vitter is dedicated to making life better for his young family and all Louisiana families. He’s focused on putting Louisiana first as an independent and outspoken reformer, and on advancing mainstream conservative principles.
. . . .

David and his wife Wendy live in Metairie with their four children, ages 13 and under, and are lectors at St. Francis Xavier Church.

http://vitter.senate.gov/?module=AboutDavid/bio

This is very embarrassing for him and his family. "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone." We should remember those words when discussing him. But then, he should have been thinking about them when he and his fellow hypocritical conservatives were casting stones at others.

12. "....very embarrassing for him...." I dunno.
"Embarrassing" is doing something stupid and being exposed. Embarrassing implies that it was a momentary lapse.

David Vitter paid a prostitute for sex. That's cold, calculating behavior. He paid a prostitute for sex while mouthing platitudes about family values and pushing for a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriages.

That's way beyond embarrassing. That's a sign of a serious personality disorder, imo.

25. I agree. It is a sign of a personality disorder.
I used the word "embarrassing" to remind myself to have a little compassion. It is easy to ridicule others, but we all have our failings. It is deeply embarrassing when our failings become very obvious to others. It is painfully embarrassing.

It doesn't mean he hasn't asked for the embarrassment, but he probably feels it pretty deeply. He is a laughing stock.
