"Bring the troops home now or face Mutiny" Do you remember this from 2006?

I posted this video on Nov 4, 2006 - at 1:00 min in is that banner (in the title).

We here on DU were anti-war, impeach bush, get dems in power and fight like hell to end the war and the bush regime.

We may differ here today on things, from Cindy to Nancy, but I still remember tonight how we were geared up to get a dem majority in power, however slight it might be, and fight the power.

We marched, we protested, all to end an illegal war where thousands were dying - both Americans and Iraqi's.

We won that election.

Is it any wonder that some folks here are upset that we are still there - dying and killing?

We are all on the same side here, we want the same thing.

And yet it all goes on.

Forgive me for being frustrated. But I am.

We won. And maybe reality is that we did not win enough, we can't do more, etc and so on.

But I would rather fall standing for something then fall while supporting something I see as wrong.

I don't care if we have the votes to impeach or to stop this war. I care that we try with all we got and show the people we stand on the principles for which they elected us.

America needs a hero, someone to fight what we are up against. We need leadership, not someone following polls or worried about elections.

The world is waiting on us to make a stand and show them we are serious about making a difference.

1. This can't be "politics as usual."
It's too important for that.

2. Your frustration over the lack of stopping this war and
real leadership is understandable. Thanks for bringing this up because I will remind everyone how frustrated the soldiers, the parents, and the other family members are with multiple tours of this senseless war. Last night while I was at the gym I listened to a man interview a family psychologist. I couldn't tell you who the man was but the psychologist's last name was Love. She said how concerned she was that Cindy who seemed to be taking a leave from the spot light was short lived. And that she was back and running against Pelosi for reason's that concerned her. The reason's were analyzed as perhaps not in the best interests of others. I think Cindy's reasons are to end this war. I think a lot of people want it ended. I think that justifies helping others. I also think Cindy qualifies as a hero for bringing attention to the fact that she sees her sons death as a senseless loss and not the honorable reasons Bush recites.
