America versus it's own president. Can you believe this shit? |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-10-07 05:25 AM by Philosoraptor
This is the one thing that pisses me off the most, how the neo cons and their front monkey absolutely piss in our faces with contempt, the revolution of 1776 has ultimately proved pointless over two centuries later.
All these millions of pissed off citizens and one little shit ass telling us all to fuck off like a king from his royal palace. Us versus him. How ridiculous are we as a nation and as a people?
Why we don't smack the shit out of this little snot and kick his murderous, maniacal ass off that throne in OUR White House is beyond me.

2. Because we are caught in the net of debt and blinded by our gilded cages |
|
We no longer have the time or luxury to be active. We are pressed into competitive races with our neighbors in order to consume the most. The resulting debt accrued by this race to consume results in us having to work longer and harder hours as time goes on. Time saving devices are transformed into time compression devices. Communities are rendered obsolete as we are increasingly isolated from one another by flashing lights are increasingly large screens. We are being amused to death as we are channeled through a corporate abitwar. Each of us being bled to death in order to satisfy the Corporations ever increasing need for our resources.

Using two points to find a third.
To triangulate on the US, the two points to use are Hummers and SSRI's, the most prescribed medication in the country.
They are our boundary markers. They should be put on The Great Seal. They embody everything you need to know about this country, c.2007.

7. This is so very true. Another nation would have peacefully revolted by now |
|
if such was possible, and {COMMENT REDACTED} if it wasn't.
I keep hoping I am wrong and that time will bear out my (and your) paranoia. But as much as I tell myself that, I can see that it is going right down to the wire, at best, and the shadow of Totalitarian Darkness of a Kinder and Gentler Variety falls across the world, at worst.

4. The rest of the world thinks we're ridiculous to let this 'entity'.......... |

continue to spit in the face of the American people, while continuing to rule. As long as impeachment is off the table, we're stuck with their blatant arrogance for another 18 months. If real leadership was more important than reelection, all this in your face corrupt, criminal behavior might be stopped.

6. yes I can understand how you feel but do recall this |
|
Even in 1770's many people wanted a King and some of the people left the country and I am sure most of the 'King lovers' stayed and have been breeding the belief of autocrats are a good way to run a govt. ever since. They seem to have missed the whole point of 'We the people' form of govt. It was a new plan and who knew if we could do it? It is also easy to let some one else do it all. What get me is when you have this autocrat form of govt. it always seems to become more police like as the head guy always seems to have to have more tightly held power to keep his power. Church, state or what ever it always seems to work that way. The belief the 'ruler' holds seems to get narrow as he sees any out-step from any one pressing in to his right to power. It is why I see Bush as even more scary as he starts losing the power. That is all said badly and I am sorry. Hope you get what I mean. It does seem something is missing in how our own history is taught in school if people seem to understand our form of govt. so badly.

Just like what has occurred in other dictatorships.

Since they have FUBARed the Army, next is the Navy's turn.
It is the way these things work. Everybody takes a turn.

13. apathy and ignorance in the general population |
|
For me one of the most mind boggling thing is the apathy and ignorance of a large percentage of the US population. I'm always talking politics with people (much to their dismay), and I am always amazed at how many people have no clue what is going on and really don't care. It's these people who help keep King George on his throne as much as his open supporters. People are so consumed with their own daily lives that they really believe that government doesn't affect them at all. Seriously look at how few Americans vote. This is something I try to stress with my students. Public education was originally established to educate the populace on the workings of democracy so that our government could work the way it was designed. But the average American is less educated in citizenship than the average immigrant. I do a parent v. student Citizenship Jeopardy each year at Open House. My students kick their parents' butts year after year. Amazing!
