Harry Reid: All Republican Senators Will Filibuster??
This makes no sense to me - why would Warner and Collins filibuster their own resolutions?? What is going on? Does anyone know?

1. bait and switch
Repukes want to look like they're opposing the war while blocking any legislation to oppose it, even this toothless resolution

3. This is good, though. This is just like what they (R's) did during the

late summer/early fall: set up a resolution only to knock it over.

Good. There won't be any republicans left after '08 if they keep this shit up.

2. All the resolutions from them may have been a delaying tactic
To keep them from voting for the war...

4. I think McConnell is desperately playing for time
He wants to sit down with Reid and talk about getting more resolutions. I just don't think Warner would have come up with a resolution and then filibuster.

I think Reid should just call for the vote and let Warner, and Sununu, and Collins and Snowe go home and say they filibustered a discussion on the war.

7. Let them filibuster while the troops die in the field. Mitch McConnell is a POS.

17. Exactly lets test their endurance.
See how long they can hold out while the bombs keep going off in Baghdad. I'm sure their obstruction will be noted by the American people. The days of them threatening us are over. Their act has grown stale and the people are sick of them. If they want to tie up the senate or congress let them and watch how much further they fall in the polls.

8. What I heard on MSNBC was that the Republicans want multiple
resolutions debated and the Dems don't.

The Republicans want to make the Democrats vote on a resolution that the Senate wont cut the funds for the troops - some wording the Republicans want.

So I assume that is what all the Republicans are united on - trying to force all the resolutions to come up for debate.
