Vitter Flashback: Clinton should resign
Vitter Flashback: Clinton should resign.Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) first got his start in Congress after replacing former Rep. Bob Livingston (R-LA), who “abruptly resigned after disclosures of numerous affairs” in 1998. At the time, Vitter argued that an extramarital affair was grounds for resignation:

“I think Livingston’s stepping down makes a very powerful argument that Clinton should resign as well and move beyond this mess,” he said.

1. But 9-11 changed everything
Lets all think like a conservative. Lets fucking make fun of their hypocrisy and "values" which obviously includes fucking prostitutes.

12. Damn, you beat me to it
And, obviously, Vitter has made his peace with God while Clinton is a godless heathen Democrat.

16. Brilliant minds thinking alike
or we are pretty damned pathetic quoting morons.

I recall an old shipmate of mine, a drunken whoring Sailor who gave drunken Sailors a bad name. He's retired and on wife number four. She's a holy roller type and he has found religion. He is forgiven, saved, reborn and is going to heaven. Just like that!!

7. Senator Vitter made a tactical mistake at already finding God--he can't be "saved" in rehab. OTOH,
the desognation "-R" after one's name offers instant and lasting immunity to hypocrisy.

18. Yeazh, but he obviously misplaced God, so maybe now he can "find him again"?

Maybe God's in Vitter's sock drawer, under the porn mags?

9. K&R!!!
I love the smell of fresh resignations in the morning.....

"Asked by an interviewer in 2000 whether she could forgive her husband if she learned he’d had an extramarital affair, as Hillary Clinton and Bob Livingston’s wife had done, Wendy Vitter told the Times-Picayune: “I’m a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary. If he does something like that, I’m walking away with one thing, and it’s not alimony, trust me. I think fear is a very good motivating factor in a marriage,” she added. “Don’t put fear down.”

14. While I certainly don't condone physical harm (there's so
much more you can do legally and ethically to ruin a cheating spouse - I have without lifting a violent finger. :P ), I have to admire her spunk.

One of the reasons I don't like Hillary Clinton, admittedly, is that I think, in regards to her cheating hubby, that she was a wet dishrag.

21. And I agree with the idea of nonviolence....
...which I'm sure they're discussing now that he AND his wife are in counseling. So he's probably safe.

But I doubt if he'll be getting much sleep....

"D*ckless" David Vitter ... since his wife said that, had her husband done the same thing as Clinton, she would pull a "Lorena Bobbit" ...
