Breitbart: Michael Moore Mocks Indian Anchor’s Name During On-Air Tirade Against CNN

http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=2823

<snip>

Filmmaker Michael Moore went off on CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer during an interview Monday to promote his latest documentary 'Sicko'. Moore blasted the anchor and the network for not doing enough to stop the Iraq war and for doing a 'crap' report on his new film. Moore also, in the last moments of the interview, mocked the pronunciation of chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta. (Not the type of thing that the eagle-eyed filmmaker would miss if it came out of the mouth of one his political enemies.)

RW blog disagrees:

http://originaljurisdiction.blogspot.com/2007/07/but-did-he-boo-hillary.html

But did he boo Hillary?

Far be it from me to defend Michael Moore. (How many posts about annoying liberals do I start with a similar construction?) I think he's a bully and a jerk. But Breitbart's assertion that he mocked Sanjay Gupta's name during a CNN interview is just as exaggerated as Byron York's claim that liberal activists flattened Hillary Clinton with boos during a recent forum.

The way I listen to the Moore interview is not him doing a poor Indian accent -- something better left to Joe Biden or Michael from "The Office" during Diversity Training Day. Rather, he was pretty pissed about Gupta's report and Wolf's insistence that Gupta is unimpeachable. Whether he is or isn't, I could give a crap. Moore's tone, rather than mocking his ethnicity, took on more of a "Whoopdie-fucking-do." Well if SANJAY GUUUPTA thinks it, then it MUST be true! I say the same thing with the insufferable RUDY GIU-LI-ANI and his ilk. Listen for yourself; I think my interpretation will bear out.

1. And so begins the distraction.
Instead of addressing the real issues and objections Moore brought-up, the spin away from the truth of what happened yesterday begins. This is getting so boring.

5. Exactly.
Michael should demand that every person in America watch the video to make sure. Then they'll get to hear his good arguments. :)

7. I actually watched the clip. The guy is full of crap. He pronounced his name clearly
in a way that suggested he preferred to say "That Fucking Asshole" but wasn't going to on Live TV.

Pathetic, the desperate reaching by the right. And so stupid, too, because many of their number AGREE with the points made in the film.

8. Once again, why post a headline like this - its their "story/spin" - why do
we carry it over here and, thus, promote it. I just don't get it.

9. I'm sure Moore would be happy to discuss this with his detractors.
Perhaps they would have better luck than Blitzer.
