44. How about Healthy eating...
He could do stuff on trans fat, doughnuts, Doritos, ice cream, etc. Since obesity is rampant in the nation and affecting many children, it would be a great issue! Show how corporations are making lots of money by making people fat, and then donating the money to elect Republicans. Mike could be his own poster-boy for the documentary!

there's only one subject that would kill his career. If he were to ask serious questions about Israel, that would be the end of him.

36. That's tied to the whole religious-right issue as well
If he were to do a piece on the religious right, he'd have to discuss their big plans for Israel come The Apocalypse.

And then he'd have to discuss how pressure from American right-wing Dominionists shape Israeli and mid-east Policy towards Apocalyptic scenarios.

You can't seperate the christian religious right, and their plan to destroy the world, from all those "serious questions about Israel" you allude to.

A Michael Moore film about The Religious Right would (should?) probably have a title like "Leaving Us Behind."

if he did the haves and have-nots and talked about our nation full of people getting poorer, this topic would tie in very well.

34. Seniors and how they are (mis)treated in this country.
Edited on Tue Jul-10-07 02:23 PM by AZBlue
Not just the cases of mistreatment in nursing homes, but also the general attitude towards them in our society. We tolerate them, other countries revere them. We don't provide them enough resources, medical care or respect. We cast them aside. It's tough to even get a job when you're in your 50's and 60's despite (1) that's not that old and more importantly (2)they're far more knowledgable and experienced than some twit out of college who doesn't have a clue.

Edited on Tue Jul-10-07 03:31 PM by Uncle Joe
He can start in the 90s with the Clinton Witch Hunt, work his way through the almost two year War Against Gore prior to the selection of 2000, while enabling Bush to power, their obfuscation or one sided reporting of the global warming climate crisis versus peer reviewed scientific reports on this looming catastrophe, throw in the cheer leading in the run up to he war with Iraq, include the Dean Scream put on an endless loop, the Swift boating of Kerry and their current use of gender and race in shaping the coming election.
