|
He could do stuff on trans fat, doughnuts, Doritos, ice cream, etc. Since obesity is rampant in the nation and affecting many children, it would be a great issue! Show how corporations are making lots of money by making people fat, and then donating the money to elect Republicans. Mike could be his own poster-boy for the documentary!

36. That's tied to the whole religious-right issue as well |
|
If he were to do a piece on the religious right, he'd have to discuss their big plans for Israel come The Apocalypse.
And then he'd have to discuss how pressure from American right-wing Dominionists shape Israeli and mid-east Policy towards Apocalyptic scenarios.
You can't seperate the christian religious right, and their plan to destroy the world, from all those "serious questions about Israel" you allude to.
A Michael Moore film about The Religious Right would (should?) probably have a title like "Leaving Us Behind."

|
Edited on Tue Jul-10-07 02:23 PM by AZBlue
Not just the cases of mistreatment in nursing homes, but also the general attitude towards them in our society. We tolerate them, other countries revere them. We don't provide them enough resources, medical care or respect. We cast them aside. It's tough to even get a job when you're in your 50's and 60's despite (1) that's not that old and more importantly (2)they're far more knowledgable and experienced than some twit out of college who doesn't have a clue.
