If Harry Reid responds and no one is covering it, did he really respond? |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-10-07 02:02 PM by Beelzebud
Harry Reid just gave the democratic response to Bush.
CNN covered it for about 45 seconds before going to commercials, and cutting him of mid-sentence.
MSNBC covered it for exactly 0:00 seconds.
Fox News covered it for exactly 0:00 seconds.
Isn't that just great? They let Bush trot out his same old bullshit for as long as he wanted to speak. Then they totally ignore the response in favor of fluff pieces and advertising.
This is what is wrong with America. It's our corporate controlled right-wing press. This is why 40% of Americans still think Iraq was involved in 9/11, and it's why we don't see any meaningful dialog on TV about any issue of importance.

1. CNN is back from commercial and RE-RUNNING Bush's speech. |
|
As if the first time wasn't enough.
I wonder if they'll play a 30 second clip of Harry Reid before cutting him off mid-sentence.

5. Wrong. He's a milquetoast wimp that can't speak with conviction. |
|
But thats not the point. The MSM didn't even give him a chance.
Nice try though.

9. Ahhh, and you see...the theme continues to be "That damned Harry Reid!!! He NEVER says ANYTHING!!!!" |
|
Harry Reid is the tree falling in the forest, philosophically speaking.
And you are completely correct. The Lamestream Corporate Media are arms of the military-industrial complex. They are a continuous, constant commercial for War Without End, Amen.

10. Yep, they certainly help get that meme out, by ignoring him when he speaks. |
|
I'm not exactly a fan of Harry Reid, but I think more highly of him that the MSM.
The tree falling the forest comparison is exactly what I was aiming for. Thanks for seeing it. :)
