Per Durbin, rethugs want to fililbuster Webb's amendment, to get the
troops more time to recuperate between tours. Man, how low will they go? How can they even justify that?

All young men and women will know who does not care for the troops.
Rethugs have no way out of this mess - the fugging gig is over.

4. But then it's not as if there's a dearth of evidence
damning them for that already.

There seem to be a sizeable number of people who just will not (do not want to) see.

I doubt any amount of evidence will ever sway them.

7. Let them, as long as the Dems are shouting about it to anybody that will listen
Repeatedly, on every talk show, on the senate and house floors. The repub senators don't want our troops to have more time between tours of duty, and are NOT supporting the troops. Aren't 21 of them up for re-election? Shout it out long and loud

2. I share your disdain,
babylonsister but you must keep in mind those bastards don't have to justify ANYTHING. They have had carte blanch for 12 years, they are not about to give it up until it is ripped from their thieving hands!

14. The lack of comity in the Senate anymore.
Edited on Tue Jul-10-07 03:07 PM by Strawman
:nopity:

Maybe we should display the comity of the Bill Frist-led Senate and just call up a Republican bill and entirely rewrite it in conference, one that they are completely shut out of.

When we have a Democratic president who won't veto stuff, we can pay them back for that tactic.

He is a bumbling idiot. What is he doing there? Hasn't he missed like most of the last few sessions and not voted?
