Philanthropy is such a strange and alien concept to the bushes... |
|
that apparently they think the ONLY reason that the privileged would work for the good of others is just as a public relations move. One of the many astounding things revealed by former surgeon general Richard Carmona was that the administration would not let him participate in a Special Olympics event. Why? He was told that it would reflect favorably on a prominent political family. Yes, those Kennedys. I guess bush really is the education president. Until today I never knew that Eunice Shriver started the program only as a means to polish up the demonic Kennedy image.

2. Yes, I am aware of that... |

and I assume that all of those who know about the founding of Special Olympics know that reason, but I was astounded, but not really surprised, by the bush administration's attitude toward Special Olympics.
It's really just indicative of the bush family; they never give, but only take.
