I do sometimes find myself rethinking a position because of things I have read here. Rarely though on something that a single or several users have written.
Face it, with the group here working hard to provide the most accurate information, DU can be one of the best places to find a wide array of facts. It also can be a good place to bounce your opinion if you are uncertain about something.
But we are all free to and expected to make up our own minds. No one tells me what to think.

There are many issues that I did not have an opinion about before reading about and discussing them on DU. It's not possible to have opinions about those things you know nothing about, no matter if Bill O'reilly insists otherwise. I assume that the majority of DUers have "opinions" that evolve as the result of reading DU.
