My Email to CNN on the Anchor's Anti-Michael Moore "If You Can Stomach It" Comment

Writing as a former newspaper reporter, I must say that the comment by an anchor today, witnessed by me, during CNN 'Situation Room' that the Wolf Blitzer/Michael Moore segment was coming up "if you can stomach it" was at the WORST unacceptable, inappropriate and affront to basic standards of serious journalism that one should expect only from the garbage known as Fox News, and at the LEAST tacky and unnecessary.

To that anchor I would say "It is your unprofessionalism, telling defensiveness and blatant bias that I have a hard time stomaching."

Very disappointing of her, especially in view of the fact that Moore seems to have the facts on his side.

FULL DISCLAIMER: I seldom watch Corporate TV Pravda and when I do it isn't for very long. Therefore, it might be argued that I do not have a large enough statistical sample of viewings to lend credence to my assertion. However, on the half-dozen times over the last few years I have seen her, she has been unafilingly, shamelessly Bushevik, and I consider that 100% Bushevism a counterbalance to my small "statistical sample".

That's what they wrote, of course. The truth could be very different. I'm thinking, though, that there is a staffer who gets the postitive ones and a staffer who gets the negative ones. :)

7. I think you totally misread her

I've seen her a few times when she says one stupid thing or another. She's just dumb. She reads well and gets to be on teevee. She's not intelligent enough to assemble a coherent political point of view. My guess, she probably meant that it is uncomfortable to watch for the weak of stomach, because the extent of her journalistic observations.
