Wiccan Warriors discussion of the Bill of Rights...3rd Amendment

ok I would like to post one amendment to the Constitution in here a day and get everyones opinion on it, how they feel about it, how it has been upheld or stripped from us, just in general talk about it and if you ever had a time to use/exercise it.

Amendment III

No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

1. I'm against being denied the right to have troops quartered in my house ....

4. Well the only question I have is:

The last phrase: but in a manner to be prescribed by law. That means (I assume,perhaps incorrectly) that soldiers will be housed in a manner prescribed by law, excepting the other two conditions.......

So even if the law says that soldiers have to be quartered in private homes, this Amendment forbids it. Yes? No?

6. About the only way around that is

if the Federal Government takes over your house in a time of war on our grounds and wants to use a city block as a standing point. I don't know if that helps? lol

5. The 3rd Amnedment is being broken today.

Now strictly speaking soldiers are not being quartered in any citizens house, but if a government uses it's power to extort money from citizens and then builds a house (any number of the ginormous bases which span the globe) with that money, how exactly is that different?
